WHAT'S YOUR STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY?

We love bright, colorful and joyful images, and we create them through a mixture of classic posed portraits, and candid shots throughout the day. Most of your formal portrait time will be carefully directed in order to create images that look natural, while still shooting in a way that feels flattering.
 
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR FOR OUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION?

We provide an in depth electronic style guide when you book that answers all the questions you could possibly have about styling your session. 
In a nutshell - don't be afraid to dress up! Formal clothes photograph beautifully! Solids draw the focus to your face and how you feel about each other, while patterns can be playful but more distracting.
The camera loves light, soft colors like cream, blush, dusty blue, mint, sage and grey!
Dresses - especially full length maxis and gowns - are most flattering on the female body. We find that 3/4 length sleeves flatter every arm, and incorporating fabrics like lace, chiffon or tulle create beautiful movement in images!
Men (and their minis) never look more dapper than in a fitted suit, button up and tie!

WHY DON’T YOU RELEASE ALL OF THE PHOTOS YOU TAKE?

We make it a professional practice to not give away any raw or unedited images taken during our sessions and events. Ultimately, we do it as a service for our clients to save you time! We're professional curators, and we review thousands upon thousands of images every year, select the best, most flattering portraits that meet a professional standard, and make sure our clients get all the best ones without the hassle of choosing between very minute differences. We cull through so many sessions and events every year that we're very efficient at what we do, and are happy to (humbly) report that we can do it in a fraction of the time most people can!

DO YOU EDIT YOUR PHOTOS?
 
Yes! We professionally retouch all of our sessions! Authenticity is huge to us as we want to capture images that are true to you, so our retouching is light for most sessions. We don't perform extensive retouching that warps or alters the way our clients look.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?

Wedding galleries are delivered 6-8 weeks after your event, after your in person reveal party!

WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?

We know that a downpour is unavoidable, so if we need to reschedule due to weather, we'll get you back on the books ASAP.
If you need to reschedule, we appreciate as much notice as possible. We require no less than 72 hours unless in an absolute emergency.
While our retainers are non-refundable, we will do everything we can to accommodate a reschedule request. Be aware that our weekends can book up far in advance! We cannot guarantee that we can add an additional session time.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OUR BOOKING?

Our retainers are non-refundable, as we have reserved that date in our calendars, and turned down all other potential brides. Due to the nature of our work, no refunds will be made. If we are available on the date you're rescheduling to, we will happily transfer your retainer.

WHY DO YOU RECOMMEND THAT I PRINT THROUGH YOU?

We've trained for over a decade to perfect our craft, and we believe you deserve a finished product when everything is said and done. When you come in for your reveal party, we are 100% at your service to design prints and products exclusively for you and your family members! Bring your parents, grand parents, siblings and any other best friends or relatives that might want a keepsake from your big day! 
We'll walk you through sending us pictures of walls in your homes so that we can custom design beautiful displays of wall art and framed galleries. We'll coach you through choosing the best images to go in your albums, boxes or to put up on the wall. 
All of our prints are archival quality - meaning they can easily be handed down to your great grandkids if you care for them properly! Plus, we deliver them right to your door, and install wall galleries for you, which is awesome!

We do include a professional print release for our brides, if you'd like to print from another local retailer or online lab. Just keep in mind that, at retail labs, the machines aren’t calibrated and the technicians aren’t trained to make consistent professional prints with correct color, so you might see anywhere from a slight to drastic quality difference between the images you see on your screen and the prints you receive from them. .
